Prerequisites Redux
The Curriculum Institute will be held this year
on July 8 -10, 2010 at the Santa Clara Marriott. It is intended for faculty, particularly
curriculum chairs, and chief instructional officers
who are involved in new program development,
program revision, or technology for curriculum
development. The Institute also welcomes support
staff, teams of academic senate representatives,
curriculum committee members, articulation officers,
and administrators.
Cost and Registration
Thank you for your interest in the Curriculum Institute. Registration for this event has closed.
Double occupancy registration is $575 and Single occupancy registration is $725. Both options include a hotel room on Thursday & Friday nights, registration for the full event, materials, and meals. Registration only fees are $350 and include registration for the full event, materials, and meals. (The Senate will make your hotel reservations for you.) Transportation to and from the institute are not included in the registration fees. Limit 5 per college. Additional registrants will be placed on a waiting list until the registration deadline.
The cancellation deadline is June 7, 2010.
Hotel Information
The Santa Clara Marriott is located at 2700 Mission College Blvd, Santa Clara CA 95054.
The nearest airport to the Marriott is San Jose Mineta Airport. There is not a shuttle service available for this hotel. Airport transportation can be made by calling South & East Bay Shuttle at (408) 866-6660. The cost for this shuttle is approximately $17 per person. However, if you are traveling with a large group, a taxi is a very economical alternative.
Self parking is complimentary for this event.
Please be aware that the costs associated with travel are not included in the registration fee for the institute.
Cancellation Policy
- Please remember that the last day to cancel your registration without penalty is June 7, 2010. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to events@asccc.org on or before the posted date. Registration will not be cancelled due to non-payment.
- Refunds will not be granted for cancellations after the cancellation deadline (June 7, 2010).
- You and/or your college will be invoiced for any unpaid fees upon the conclusion of the event, including “no show” registrants.
- No shows, unclaimed “TBA” attendees, and cancellations made after the deadline will be billed to you and/or your college for the total cost of registration and room if applicable to the event. As attendees are permitted to register without funds, we have no way of determining cancellation unless specifically told, in writing.
- It is your responsibility to ensure payment of the registration fee. Submission of your registration signifies agreement with this policy.
