Information
The Vocational Education Leadership Institute is designed to develop and promote
leadership among occupational faculty at local, regional and state levels. The
Seminar provides training and a range of tools to the faculty in attendance.
One of the goals of the seminar is to encourage more active participation of
occupational faculty in the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges.
This Seminar helps to develop close relationships with statewide leaders and
other occupational faculty members while informing occupational educators about
the resources available to them.
Location
and Time Vocational Education
Leadership Institute will be held March
8 – 10, 2007 starting at noon on
Thursday and ending at noon on Saturday.
The institute will take place in the
Hotel Zoso, 150 South Indian Canyon
Drive, Palm Springs, California.
Costs and
Registration
Participation is limited to 70 slots and is on a first come first serve basis.
The attendance of the Institute including double occupancy is subsidized. Single
rooms are available at a cost of $192 to the participant. There is a flat $100
fee for the Institute with $50 reimbursed after attendance. If you register
by February 3, 2007, your registration will be waived. Institute
expenses, such as room, travel and meeting meals will be covered by the Academic
Senate and a grant from the System Office. Complete and return your registration
by February 9, 2007. Per Senate policy, refunds will not be
granted for cancellations requested after February 9, 2007. If cancellation
is made after registration deadline you and/or your college will be billed
for the total cost of registration and room. Submission of this form signifies

Credit
The Seminar will provide faculty with 12 hours of Flex Credits.
