Governor’s plan to Reorganize
California’s state government
Dear Senate Presidents,
By now you may have heard about
the Governor’s plan to reorganize California’s
state government, which, over the last few months,
more than 250 State employees have been working
to streamline. Last week, the Governor released
the California Performance Review (CPR) Report.
You may access the full 2,500 page report on the
CPR website at http://www.cpr.ca.gov/.
As you review this massive document, please note
that your Executive Committee is in the process
of evaluating those recommendations pertaining
to California Higher Education.
In addition, we have attached
a copy of
the Chancellor's Office analysis (PDF) of
the Education, Training and Volunteerism chapter
of the California Performance Review Report for
your perusal.
