and Time
Vocational Education Leadership Institute will be held March 9 –11, 2006
in Palm Springs at the Hotel
Zoso, 150 South Indian Canyon Drive.
General
Information
The Vocational Education Leadership Institute is designed to develop and promote
leadership among occupational faculty at local, regional and state levels.
The Seminar provides training and a range of tools to the faculty in attendance.
One of the goals of the seminar is to encourage more active participation of
occupational faculty in the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges.
This Seminar helps to develop close relationships with statewide leaders and
other occupational faculty members while informing occupational educators about
the resources available to them.
This year we are encouraging
local senate presidents to accompany vocational
education faculty members to the conference.
As a team, faculty and local senate presidents
will acquire skills to assist them with issues
at the local, state, and national level that
will further develop vocational programs and
increase leadership opportunities. A preliminary
program will soon be posted on this page.
Costs
There is a flat $100 fee for the Seminar with $50 reimbursed after attendance.
Please make your check payable to Academic Senate and submit with your application.
All Seminar expenses, including room, travel, and meeting meals will be covered
by the Academic Senate and grant from the Chancellor´s Office. To register
please print and fill out the registration form (PDF).
Phone registrations will not be accepted.
Flex
Credit
The Seminar will provide faculty with 12 hours of Flex Credits.
