The Academic Senate for California
Community College is currently seeking submissions
from faculty members for this year’s issue of
the Forum. This publication provides faculty a
means to express their creative sides to a receptive
audience. We are interested in
poetry
short stories
essays
one-act plays
photography
sketches
visual arts
and other modes of creative expression.
Guidelines
for Submitting Work to the Forum
The members of the Publication Committee will
review all submissions and choose works to be
included in the The Forum 2001. The Committee
will only consider original contributions not
previously accepted by other journals or book
publishers. All submissions accepted for publication
must be of interest to California community college
faculty with technical language defined for a
broad faculty audience. Please include a self-addressed,
stamped envelope if you wish us to return your
submissions and follow the guidelines listed below
for individual categories.
Visual
Arts
Please don't mail the originals. In order to fairly
represent the quality of your work in print we
recommend that you submit your work on high quality
slides or digital files saved on a zip disk or
a CD at 300dpi. Please send submissions accompanied
by a photograph or a printout of your entry. With
each submission include the work's title, media,
and size of each work along with your name, college,
home address, and a phone number.
Verbal
Arts
Written work (up to 3,000 words) must be typed
or word-processed and submitted on a zip disk
or a floppy disk (PC format only). Please send
submissions accompanied by a printed version of
your entry. On a separate sheet of paper please
include your name, discipline, college, your home
address, and a phone number. The Academic Senate
reserves the right to edit the submissions for
accuracy, format, consistency, and length. All
the significant changes will be cleared with the
author prior to publication. Please send your
