Thursday, September 20, 2018 - 10:00AM - 3:00PM Deadline to register: Wednesday, September 19, 2018 - 12:00PM (space is limited to the first 120 registrants) Are you involved with the implementation of AB 705 at your college? Are you confused about what is and isn’t allowed? Did the frequently asked questions document create more questions than it answered? The Academic Senate for California Community Colleges is proud to offer regionals meeting to help faculty sort through their questions and challenges as they strive to implement the requirements of AB 705. The regional will include discussions of what is legally required, default placement, optional and required concurrent support, an update on Credit ESL implementation, and a chance to have your questions answered by individuals that are part of the AB705 Implementation Advisory Committee. The meeting will take place at San Bernardino Valley College, Conference Room B100. Light continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. |

The 2018 Part-time Faculty Leadership Institute will be held August 2-4 2018 at the The Westin San Francisco Airport located at 1 Old Bayshore Hwy, Millbrae, CA 94030. Join us for the ASCCC's second annual Part-time Faculty Leadership Institute on August 2-4 2018, in partnership with 3CSN and with support of the Chancellor's Office. We highly encourage new and experienced part-time faculty to participate in lively discussions that incorporate strategic questions and assessment while advancing professional growth. This year's Institute will include topics on innovative pedagogy, professional development, leadership and equity. Event Date: July 11 (Pre-session) - 14, 2018 Event Location: Riverside Convention Center | 3637 5th St, Riverside, CA 92501 The 2018 ASCCC Curriculum Institute, "Reimagining the Student Experience", will take place at the Riverside Convention Center on July 12 - 14. The institute will cover pressing curriculum issues including the implementation of AB 705, quantitative reasoning, guided pathways, UC Transfer Pathways, curriculum streamlining, the Chancellor’s Office Curriculum Inventory (COCI), and much more. There will also be a pre-session available on Wednesday, July 11 with sessions for curriculum chairs, curriculum specialists, administrators, and those interested in guided pathways. Colleges are encouraged to bring a team of individuals to the institute that includes the curriculum chair, CIO, and a curriculum specialist. For the first time, colleges will be able to bring up to seven team members, so make sure to reserve your spot now!
