What can we do to increase the number of students who succeed in our classes, programs, and colleges? What strategies can be employed across the curriculum to foster better outcomes for all students? This year's Academic Senate Academic Academy focuses on the integration of development of the foundational skills needed for success in all classes, not merely those identified as basic skills. The intended outcome of this Academy is to promote success by empowering local success champions from all disciplines.

Registration Single Occupancy Fee: $475
Registration Double Occupancy Fee: $385
Registration Only Fee: $290
The Single and Double registration fees include a hotel room on Friday evening only.

The cancellation deadline is January 25, 2012. Please review our cancellation policy before registering. All disciplines encouraged.
Checks should be made payable the Academic Senate.
Payment in full is required prior to attending the event.

An agenda will be posted soon. For travel arrangement purposes, please plan to arrive for registration by 9:00 am on Friday morning and depart Saturday afternoon after 3:30 pm. Breakfast and lunch will be served on both Friday and Saturday. Dinner will be on your own.
The Doubletree Anaheim/Orange County is located at 100 The City Drive, Orange, CA 92868. Driving directions can be found here. Self parking has been discounted to $8.00 per car, per day. For those flying, John Wayne Airport (SNA) is the closest airport to the hotel. There is not a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Super Shuttle rates average $10 per rider each way. (As of August 2011.) For those traveling in a large group, a taxi may be the most economical means of travel.
The Academic Academy is paper-lite. The Academic Senate is trying to reduce the amount of paper we use at our events. This is an effort both to be responsible toward the environment and to increase the quality and timeliness of the resources provided. Electronic materials will replace paper and will be accessible online before, during, and after the program. It is our hope that this will encourage you to join us in our goal to be as paper-lite as possible.
A program will be provided to each attendee upon arrival, however, conference and breakout materials will be available for download here. Free internet is available in the hotel lobby. However, we encourage you to download the materials prior to arrival.
