Whereas there are many non-classroom faculty positions at California Community Colleges such as research director, tutoring director, faculty development director, student activities director, health services director (college nurse) and others, and
Whereas currently the minimum qualifications for these non-classroom faculty positions are not clearly identified, except for the health service/nurse director/nurse coordinator/college nurse and counselors and librarians,
Resolved that the Academic Senate recommend to the Board of Governors that the minimum qualifications of faculty in non-classroom positions (other than health service/nurse director/nurse coordinator/ college nurse and counselors and librarians) be the minimum qualification for any established discipline, plus any state law licensing requirement for the position.
