2009-10 CLFIC Chair Stephanie Dumont has begun work on a paper draft/outline that will address this. The draft should appear on the May/Orientation 09 Exec agenda. Update 6/25/2015: The 2012 Paper on the Role of Counseling Faculty in the CCC addresses this issue regarding online or web advising.
Resolved that the Academic Senate work with the California Community Colleges Counselors Association to develop for counseling faculty clear definitions and guidelines for web advising, including issues such as legal issues, student confidentiality, and ethics.
