Awards

The Norbert Bischof Faculty Freedom Fighter Award (NBFFF) is presented to faculty leaders who have exhibited exceptional leadership skills by helping to maintain a healthy and functional system of governance or by having demonstrated exceptional courage and effectiveness in support of the adopted principles and positions of the Academic Senate.  In 2009, the Executive Committee renamed this award after the Senate’s founding father Norbert Bischof.

The Academic Senate for California Community Colleges (ASCCC) is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the Hayward Award for “Excellence in Education.” Sponsored annually by the Foundation for California Community Colleges, this award honors community college full-time and part-time faculty who demonstrate the highest level of commitment to their students, college, and profession.

The Academic Senate for California Community Colleges (ASCCC) is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the Exemplary Program Award. Sponsored annually by the Foundation for California Community Colleges, the Board of Governors established the Exemplary Program Award in 1991 to recognize outstanding community college programs.

The deadline to submit a Hayward Award nomination is December 5, 2011.

The Academic Senate is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the Exemplary Program Award. The Board of Governors will present the 2009-2010 Exemplary Program Award to as many as six programs from across the state at its January 2010 meeting. The Board of Governors established the Exemplary Program Award in 1991 to recognize outstanding community college programs.
