Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges as the Executive Committee to prepare models for local senate use in determination of equivalencies for granting tenure as required by Education Code Section 87615.

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges recommend that the Board of Governors adopt regulations to establish and maintain the following minimum qualifications for hire as a community college member employed in DSP&S programs:
COUNSELING OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges recommend that the Executive Committee study how community colleges are meeting the AB 1725 requirement that peer evaluators reflect the ethnic diversity of the adult population of the state, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges recommends to the Executive Committee that an appropriate Senate Committee develop peer evaluation models for consideration at a future session.
Resolved that the Academic Senate for the California Community Colleges recommend to districts that faculty representatives affected by the employment of an administrator participate in all appropriate phases of the hiring process.
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges recommend that the Board of Governors adopt regulations to establish and maintain the minimum qualifications for hire as a community college member teaching any noncredit course, unless and until amended pursuant to the process described in Education Code Section 87357. The regulations shall establish the minimum qualifications for hire as:
(1) Possession of a master's degree from an accredited institution or the equivalent foreign degree, in the discipline of the faculty member's assignment, or
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges affirm that all faculty teaching in the community college international education programs must meet the same minimum qualifications for hire as faculty serving in the on-campus programs.
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges direct the Executive Committee to prepare and distribute guidelines for local senates to use in consulting with collective bargaining agents regarding evaluation procedures as mandated by AB 1725, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges endorse the proposed model for determining equivalencies.
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges amend the position paper Administrator Retreat Rights: An Introduction and A Model Procedure by adding item #5 on page 2: 5. What is the delineation of responsibility between the local bargaining unit and the academic senate regarding financial compensation for an administrator who retreats into a faculty position? Financial compensation, such as Y-rating, for an administrator who retreats into a faculty position is primarily or exclusively a bargaining unit matter.
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges adopt the following position regarding programs requiring accreditation from a State agency:
