Whereas AB 1725 authorizes granting of both the AA and AS degrees, and
Whereas this bill does not establish different requirements for the two degrees, and
Whereas the proposed general education transfer curriculum requires an amount of general education which may not be compatible with majors that require a large number of lower division courses,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges support the concept that the AA and AS degrees may require different numbers of general education units, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges support the recommendations of the Intersegmental Drafting Committee for a General Education Transfer Curriculum which calls for the formation of ad hoc committees to discuss the issues so far un
