Whereas, The Academic Senate for California Community Colleges is slated for a 45% reduction in funding in the Governor's proposed 2003-2004 budget;
Whereas, The work of the Academic Senate is mandated by law; and
Whereas, Completing the work of the Academic Senate without sufficient funding would amount to an unfunded mandate;
Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges continue to work with the Governor's Office and the Legislature to ensure full funding for the Academic Senate; and
Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges urge the Chancellor's Office to support the Academic Senate in this endeavor.
