Whereas, The California Community Colleges Board of Governors, System Office, Chief Instructional Officers, Chief Student Services Officers, Chief Executive Officers, and the Research and Planning Group have provided leadership and given countless hours to the Basic Skills Initiative;
Whereas, The California Community Colleges Board of Governors, System Office, Chief Instructional Officers, Chief Student Services Officers, Chief Executive Officers, and the Research and Planning Group recognized the need and importance of the Basic Skills Initiative in increasing the academic success rates of California community college students; and
Whereas, The California Community Colleges Board of Governors, System Office, Chief Instructional Officers, Chief Student Services Officers, Chief Executive Officers, and the Research and Planning Group have elevated the Basic Skills Initiative to a top priority in the California Community College System;
Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges send its deepest appreciation to the California Community Colleges Board of Governors, System Office, Chief Instructional Officers, Chief Student Services Officers, Chief Executive Officers, and the Research and Planning Group for their efforts and participation in phase two of the Basic Skills Initiative.
