No such funds have yet been appropriated, but AS is involved in similar projects through ICC.
Whereas CSUs have announced and are implementing a policy of gradually reducing the number of students admitted who need basic skills classes at CSU, and
Whereas CSU is seeking supplemental funds to work with K-l2students in order to improve student success in basic skills areas before these students enter CSU,
Resolved that the Academic Senate recommend to the Intersegmental Committee of Academic Senates (ICAS) and to the Chancellor that California community colleges work with the California State University to include community colleges in any supplemental funding designed to meet basic skills needs of K-l2 students.
