Whereas many students with small children are forced to drop classes each semester due to lack of child care, and
Whereas these factors directly and adversely affect the academic and professional program at California Community Colleges, and
Whereas the Academic Senate recognizes the negative impact on the academic and professional programs of community colleges when adequate child care is not available,
Resolved that the Academic Senate instruct its president or appropriate Executive Committee members to convey to appropriate administrative personnel the real concern of faculty over the lack and/or understaffing of child care centers at California Community Colleges and that the president respond to the resolution at the 1987 Fall Conference.
