Part of ongoing discussions regarding changes in UC/CSU admissions and proposed redirection of students; will work with CAN representatives to publicize use of local CAN allocations when appropriate.
Whereas, California community college students need accurate and timely information for the development of an effective educational plan; and
Whereas, The climate for community college students includes additional stress from the economy, world affairs and reduced resources in the community for mental health, which impact their success;
Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges advocate for essential staff-development resources for California community colleges counseling faculty to keep updated with articulation agreements and admission policies for four-year institutions and for crisis intervention training.
