Resolved that the Academic Senate direct the Executive Committee to implement a previous resolution calling for education of local boards in matters of shared governance, Title 5 Regulations, Education Code, and collegial relationships with senates, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate direct the Executive Committee to prepare material to be used in the education of local boards, such material to include, but not limited to, the ways boards can carryout their educational mission, and the meaning and interpretation of relevant statutes (such as the Brown Act and AB 1725),regulations, and other appropriate documents, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate direct the Executive Committee to consider using research funds to develop materials and to provide workshops for local boards and senates.
