Summary
Maintain and update the Local Senates Profile form and spreadsheet, including the status of delegation of authority and policies and processes for collegial consultation. Revise as necessary to increase accuracy and utility. Survey local colleges to determine when they rely primarily upon and mutually agree on each of the 10+1 academic and professional matters and report the findings.
Status Report

The Committee will work with the Executive Director to gather this data through inclusion in our yearly local senate President survey. Update 6/25/2015: Added into Local Senates Handbook.

Whereas, College policies vary with respect to what form of shared governance is employed for each of the 10+1 academic and professional matters specified in Title 5; and

Whereas, Local senates would benefit from knowing how policies have been employed elsewhere, how they are implemented, and which have been effective;

Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges conduct a survey to determine in what instances local colleges rely primarily upon and mutually agree on each of the 10+1 academic and professional matters that are in the senate purview and how effective these have been; and

Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges report the findings of this at an appropriate Academic Senate venue. MSC Disposition: Local Senates
