Whereas AB 3938 has successfully provided occupational and vocational teaching and counseling faculty with opportunities to enhance their knowledge and technical skills in the business and industrial workplace,

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges recommend to appropriate bodies, such as the Chancellor's Office, that a program comparable to AB 3938 be developed and implemented so that faculty from disciplines not covered in AB 3938 be provided opportunities to work in business, industry, government, university, and other appropriate workplaces for short term periods.
