Whereas the United States Department of Education is currently preparing for Phase II Student Financial Aid Reform, and

Whereas preliminary discussion of issues relating to that reform include topics of great impact on California community colleges such as termination of financial aid eligibility for students taking English as a Second Language and Basic Skills courses,

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges direct the Executive Committee to review the proposals being made by the United States Department of Education in the Phase II Student Financial Aid Reform and bring a report on relevant issues to a future session.
