Whereas general education transfer curriculum for UC and CSU could allow students great flexibility in transfer, and

Whereas this curriculum should provide more opportunity to transfer rather than create a barrier to transfer, and

Whereas this curriculum was intended as a new option among the current methods of transfer rather than the sole method, and

Whereas no UC or CSU requires completion of general education as a condition of transfer admission,

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges support the use of a general education transfer curriculum only as one option rather than as the sole method of allowing transfer admission.
