Status Report
This goal was met through the breakout in Fall 2000, presented by Anjennette McFarlin and Bill Piland, on the SDICCCA internship program. The discussion has also been broadened as a result of the 2000-01 system BCP (unfunded) seeking funding for the expansion of such internship programs.
Whereas greater diversity of faculty is a priority of the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges, and
Whereas there are funds available for colleges to develop and/or participate in internship programs,
Resolved that the Academic Senate encourage local academic senates to expand their colleges' participation in internship programs to improve faculty diversity.
