Whereas the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges has emerged as the official voice of California Community College faculty in academic and professional matters, and
Whereas reform legislation has increased the responsibility of the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges, and
Whereas this increased responsibility necessitates the need for timely communication and information, and
Whereas the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges relies upon publications for communication with faculty on vital issues, and
Whereas no master plan designed to serve the information needs of California Community College faculty has been developed, and
Whereas there is a need to coordinate the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges' publication efforts to assure the best use of resources available,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges direct the Executive Committee to develop a master plan for the publications of the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges.
