Non-classroom Faculty

Whereas non-classroom faculty positions have been excluded under section 87482.6 of AB 1725 (Chapter 973, Statutes of 1988), which funds faculty positions to increase the percentage of hours of credit instruction taught by full-time faculty to 75% and,

Whereas very few non-classroom faculty have been hired under the nineteen permissible categories of section 84755 of AB 1725 (Chapter 973, Statutes of 1988),

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges recommend to the Chancellor's Office that new non-classroom faculty positions be included in any future funding formula for hiring full-time faculty.
