Status Report
Paper on use of part-time faculty was adopted at Spring 02 session, including recommendations regarding effective contact.
Whereas, There have been several years of state support for locally negotiated office hours for part-time faculty; and
Whereas, Less than one-third of the districts have negotiated office hours for part-time faculty;
Resolved, That the Academic Senate investigate the possibilities of requiring that all community college classes include the expectations that students will receive the opportunities for effective contact with their instructors outside of the regular class period.
