Raise Funding Floor for Staff Diversity

Whereas increased staff diversity in California Community Colleges has been mandated in AB 1725, and

Whereas staff diversity activities are funded based on ADA with a floor of $1,000, and

Whereas the current floor of $1,000 prohibits effective participation in job fairs, travel required for recruitment, and broad-based advertising costs,

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges request that the Chancellor seek to raise the funding floor on staff diversity funds from $1,000 to $5,000 beginning 1990-91.
