Whereas the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges represents all faculty, and
Whereas the separation of one segment of the faculty contributes to their disenfranchisement, and
Whereas counseling discipline faculty provide services essential to the success of students,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges reaffirm its support for the hiring of full-time counseling discipline faculty, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges direct the Executive Committee to develop a method for including counseling faculty in the full-time hiring regulations of AR 1725, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges urge local senates to consider the hiring of counseling faculty in their full-time hiring priorities.
