Whereas the process whereby delegates generate and process resolutions is the most tune and attention-consuming activity within Academic Senate sessions, and
Whereas follow-up on resolutions adopted and referred to external or internal bodies is not known to the senate members at large, and
Whereas a continuing record of action taken/not taken on the resolutions during the period following Senate adoption would be valuable to the membership in determining future needs, and
Whereas a systematic description/analysis of outcomes is fundamental to the structure, function, and process of effective organizations,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges prepare a brief summary of the progress and effect of each resolution (e.g. ,response from elected or appointed official or body to whom the resolution was referred, progress from the Executive Committee in responding to direction. emergence in legislative activity, communication from FACCC. etc.) adopted during the previous session, and
Resolved that the summary of the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges resolution outcomes from the previous session be distributed to local senates at least three weeks prior to each subsequent regularly scheduled session, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges prepare a comprehensive listing of resolution outcomes every three years for review and discussion, and
Resolved that this resolution shall be effective April. 1995.
