The Senate can already make such recommendations, and the ACCJC has made it clear that they only contract with local, dues paying institutions.

Whereas the faculty role in accreditation is formalized by Title 5. Section 53200, and

Whereas the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges choose faculty for participation in the accreditation process based on written nominations,

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges direct the Executive Committee to negotiate an agreement with the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges to accept faculty recommended by the Academic Senate who have been trained by the Senate and who have been recommended by local senates.
