Whereas reduced funding has resulted in an emphasis upon increased productivity and reductions in programs and staffing, and
Whereas limited resources and other external forces will reshape the system in unpredictable ways, and
Whereas it behooves us to help shape the future of the community colleges,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges direct the Executive Committee to plan and implement a broad-based, facilitated faculty conference to shape a vision of the community college of the future and to generate suggestions as to how that vision could be realized, and
Resolved that this conference occur within one calendar year after the adoption of this resolution.
