Whereas students have not been represented on the Board of Governors for nearly a year, and
Whereas a student member on the Board of Governors is required by law, and
Whereas the student viewpoint and input at the state level is vital for the implementation of shared governance,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges urge the Governor to work with CalSACC to fill immediately the student position on the Board of Governors.
