Whereas affirmative action programs do not use quotas, lower standards, or support any type of discrimination, and
Whereas attempts are now being made to eliminate affirmative action programs, even though elements of discrimination continue to permeate the American society,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges support continued efforts to maintain affirmative action programs as long as discrimination exists.
