Whereas faculty participation on visiting teams is essential to the accrediting process, and
Whereas faculty members who serve on accreditation visiting teams for the first time do not feel sufficiently experienced to serve effectively,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges direct the Executive Committee to enter into dialogue with the Accrediting Commission for the purpose of developing a process by which the Academic Senate can help prepare faculty members to participate on accreditation visiting teams and develop a pool of promising faculty members for such training.
