Vocational Education Interns

Whereas AB 1725 encourages the California Community Colleges to utilize faculty interns to develop a more diverse faculty applicant pool, and

Whereas AB 1725 addresses for the intern program only those disciplines requiring a master's degree, and

Whereas the need exists to develop a diverse faculty applicant pool in those disciplines not requiring a master's degree,

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges support the concept of faculty interns for those disciplines not requiring a master's degree and seek the support of the legislature to permit such interns.
