Nothing more to do with this now if there ever was.

Whereas, The violence that befell Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University has affected the entire nation, and has particularly impacted those of us in the education profession;

Whereas, The random nature of this violence and the scale of it occurring as it did at an institution of higher learning is deeply disconcerting and profoundly saddening; and

Whereas, The faculty of California community colleges are desirous of actively supporting our colleagues at Virginia Tech, their students, and their community;

Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges support our colleagues at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in mourning those lost to this senseless tragedy; and

Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges express its deep sympathy and condolences to the faculty, students and community of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and offer its support in speeding the healing process to the faculty, students, and community of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
