A critical part of the conversation is “closing the loop”. It is imperative that faculty are well-versed in the assessment process, clear on what is stipulated by accreditation, prepared to close the assessment loop on all levels, and work collaboratively with others on their campuses. Faculty have the primary role defining appropriate assessment, interpreting results, and using results to guide teaching. 2012 Curriculum Institute July 12, 2012 12:00:00 AM Hyatt SFO	The Curriculum Institute provides expert advice for new and veteran curriculum committee chairs and members. In addition to the traditional focus on upholding quality and encouraging effective practices, this year’s institute will explore reactions and responses to the recommendations of the SB 1143 Student Success Task Force and other outside influences on curriculum. Teams of five members per college are encouraged to attend. Registration for this event closes quickly, so make plans to early to join us in Burlingame this July. The 2012 Curriculum Institute will be held at the Hyatt San Francisco Airport.
