Official Listservs

The Academic Senate for California Community Colleges maintains a variety of specialized listserves for the purpose of distributing official business of the ASCCC, the CCC Chancellor’s Office and other formally recognized stakeholders. These are distribution list servers only, they serve only to disseminate information, recipients may not reply. Those interested many sign up below.  As well, those seeking official inquiries from the ASCCC may direct those via email or phone to the ASCCC office at the following: (916) 445-4753, or

Unofficial Listserv

Individuals seeking to ask questions of and dialog with their CCC colleagues are encouraged to make use of an unofficial list-serve which is not maintained, controlled, formally monitored, or represent the Academic Senate in any way. While members of the ASCCC’s Executive team do in some cases subscribe to this list-serve for their own professional benefit, in most cases they will not reply to messages unless specifically directed by the ASCCC President. Please do not use these list-serves for communication with the ASCCC staff or Executive Committee.

Beyond this disclaimer participation can be very beneficial and your input can do much to help others.

This list serve was set up originally to serve local senate presidents but many others also participate and all are welcome. It is a Google Groups list serve. There are several ways to join: If you already have a Goggle account you simply request to be added to the group at or send an email to cccsenates+subscribe [at] (cccsenates+subscribe[at]googlegroups[dot]com). If you do not have a Google account, you will need to sign up but you do not need to get or use a gmail (Google’s email) account with the group. It allows you to use any email you choose as an option when you sign up.
