Whereas many districts are implementing new administrative computing systems, and
Whereas these new systems are making it imperative for faculty to adopt new methods of calculating grades, tracking student progress, submitting grades; and are allowing students to adopt and adapt to new ways of registering, scheduling, enrolling, and obtaining grades and transcripts, and
Whereas faculty and students in the districts that have been early adopters of new administrative computing systems have reported widespread errors, delays, and malfunctions, which have affected courses and course enrollments,
Resolved that the Academic Senate direct the Executive Committee to survey all districts to determine the state of new administrative computing systems, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate direct the Executive Committee to submit a written report of its findings and recommendations to the plenary body at a future session.
