Summary
Request that the course-to-course articulation information in ASSIST be freely available and accessible to articulation officers and faculty; and support the development of a "Single Course Query" function in ASSIST.

Whereas, Navigating the complex system of the articulation of courses among California's segments of higher education is at best confusing;

Whereas, Articulation System Stimulating Interinstitutional Student Transfer (ASSIST) has been designed to facilitate this navigation;

Whereas, The articulation officers in California's community colleges have requested that the ASSIST database be programmed to enable users to input a single course and receive a list of how that course articulates at the CSU and UC, a "Single Course Query"; and

Whereas, This "Single Course Query" would prove invaluable to articulation officers and faculty as they work with students, develop courses, and/or request articulation;

Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges request that the course-to-course articulation information in ASSIST be freely available and accessible to articulation officers and faculty; and

Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges support the development of a "Single Course Query" function in ASSIST that would be freely available and accessible to articulation officers and faculty. MSC Disposition: ASSIST Board, System Office, Local Senates
