Communication

Whereas vocational education is defined as one of the three major community college missions in AB 1725, and

Whereas it is important that local senates be informed of local and state vocational educational issues, and

Whereas vocational and academic faculty at each college should communicate with one another,

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges urge that local senates

1. establish a vocational education committee, and

2. appoint a vocational education contact person to receive state Senate vocational information and to report local vocational education concerns to the state Academic Senate.
