Resolved that the following resolution be referred to the Executive Committee for study and recommendation to the 1991 Fall Session in accordance with Article VIII Section 1, Academic Senate By-laws.

Whereas AB 1725 has significantly increased the role and responsibilities of community college faculty, and

Whereas the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges wishes to encourage faculty leaders at the local level to become actively involved at the state level,

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges move to amend Article 5, Section 1 of the By-laws of the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges to read as follows: "The Executive Committee shall consist of the officers and ten members. All Executive Committee members shall be Senators or, local senate presidents, or local senate past-presidents at the time of their election and must retain their faculty status to continue in office."
